Sandra Lobato Obituary

Transition complete, the queen of our hearts has officially received her wings…

On the night of January 10, 2022, one of the strongest women in this world, removed her rhinestone coat of armor and was adorned in the diamond crusted angel wings she worked her whole life towards.  Our mother/grandmother Sandra “Sandie” Marie Lobato, at 65 years of age is at peace, out of pain and is officially an angel shining down upon us. Sandie was born October 27, 1956, in Pomona California, the eldest of 6 children and is currently survived by her mother, sisters, children and grandchildren. While she was a gorgeous woman of many talents she is best known for her kind and generous heart, the ability to let nothing break her down with a tenacity to make the most of life, making memories while continuing to learn along the way, with her faith in God, her children and grandchildren at the center of her universe. Sandie always had a passion for fashion and education; traits of which were easily identifiable when looking at her and listening to her speak.  As she worked her way through life and achieving goals, she always ensured to look her best with inspiration coming from some of her favorite icons being Cher, Marilyn Monroe and Coco Channel. While Sandie was a young mother, she managed to keep education at the forefront earning a BA degree with emphasis on Behavioral Science, she was also a successful entrepreneur in which she owned and managed group homes for the mentally ill, finishing out her career as a Director of Medical Records.

While Sandie was an independent woman, her focus always remained on her family, doing her best to instill in them the importance of a relationship with God and to be able to provide for yourself and help others; and this meant helping in any way possible.  People knew if there was anyone, they could count on it would be her. Whether it be lending a listening ear, sending prayers, planning the most glammed out, decked out, epic parties or providing a plethora of knowledge related to medical terminology and practices and so on, she would be there for you. You name it, she could do it, and if she didn’t know how, she would learn how or help guide you along the way.  All the while never letting her many life’s challenges get in the way.  This is what truly set her apart from others. She was passionate about helping others especially because she loved her family and friends so much.

Although she was a glamorous woman, she also knew how to let her hair down and have fun in any type of environment.  Whether it be camping outdoors, hanging out with friends at the lake, traveling to different parts of the world with family, some of her favorite places being Mexico, Italy, Amsterdam, Germany and her most recent love being Puerto Rico, hitting the casinos, or something as simple as enjoying a good meal, paired with cocktails and hanging out with friends playing Loteria, wherever she was you knew you were in for a good time.

While we are heartbroken that we will not be able to hug our mother/grandmother or hear her call our names, we find comfort in the fact that she has officially earned her wings and is no longer in pain nor with any of life’s challenges in her path.  She will continue to shine light in our lives, and we will continue to honor her by living our best lives, centered on God, while helping others, striving to make her proud every day.

Shine bright like the diamond you are Mom/Grammy. You are forever loved and cherished more than anyone can ever imagine.
