Matthew was a born in Fontana CA, and was a lifetime resident of San Bernardino County.

Matthew is survived by his parents, Billy and Andrea Shipman, his sister Stephanie Shipman. Gerald Valdez and brother Victor Valdez.

Matthew was a sports enthusiast, enjoying baseball, basketball and golf.
