Maria was born in Calera, Zacatecas, Mexico to Jose Gonzalez and Amelia Lopez. She is survived by her loving husband Jose, with 65 years of faithful marriage, their 8 children; Victor, Javier, Angelica, Amelia, Maricela, Carolina, Veronica, Antonio, 50 grandchildren and 49 great-grandchildren.
