The life of Donald Jewel Eby was tragically taken on May 17, 2020 in Long Beach, CA.
Donald (57) , better known as Donnie or “Red”, was born in Baldwin Park, CA on August 13, 1962 to David and Darlene. Donnie was survived by his 2 beautiful daughters Ashley Jewel Rae Pico-Eby, April Helen Pico-Eby and sister Dori. He was a free-spirited man who will always live on in our hearts. He was a loving, caring, generous, and mostly stubborn man who didn’t miss a chance to get his poles in the waters off the jetty in Long Beach. There was nowhere he would have rather been than by the water and under the Southern California sun. He didn’t live the life others had hoped for him, but he lived the life he wanted. Donnie never missed a chance to help someone out, even if it was a time when he himself needed help. Despite enduring his own troubles, he somehow managed to save a smile for his little sister Dori. He always ended their conversations with, “Love you, later, bye...” anticipating the next time they would talk. Dearly missed by his little sister Dori, his family, and friends. Those that have loved him in the past have gone before him: R.P., Edith, David, Darlene, and many more. His final resting place will be at sea, where he loved to be most of all.
